It’s my version of an interactive book. Here’s why:
It takes place on another world in another part of our galaxy. As such it needs maps. 3 maps as a matter of fact and you, the reader, are invited to make and submit one (or two or all three):
- A map of the continent, the only one described in the book. This is a map of not only geographic features, but political ones. Conquest is part of the story and we need to know where other countries or cultures abide. You can create symbols for cultures, landmarks and geographic features.
- A map of the land of the Children of M’asra. At least a map of where they are when our story begins. The added territories can be noted on the continent map. Again, note cultural and geographic features.
- Most importantly, a map of the capital city of Phedra, where a bulk of the action takes place. Hint- chapter 16 has a lot of details. You can create symbols for important structures.
When you’ve finished reading the book comes the fun discussion part.
I wrote the book with a definite purpose in mind. You’ll note the striking parallels to certain ancient civilizations. Especially the dominant one in the book. That was on purpose. It answers a question I had about creation, universe wise and the possible role of the Creator in it…
And that’s all I’m going to say until you readers catch up to discuss it. We’ll also look at maps and see how some readers did in finding the places and features in the story.
